Great weekend

Well the highlights from the weekend.

We got to the the Zoo at around noon. IT WAS HOT....like Africa hot!! It was 90 degrees with no wind! and the zoo.. well it sucked. It had no big animals.. no elephants, lions, zebras giraffes... nothing! Lots of deer and CRAP. They had a tiger exhibit. But it was so HUGE that you could not find the Tigers! So... 41.00 bucks down the toliet!

Ok.. after the zoo we went to my SIL's house. The traffic was terrible and it took us 2 hours to get there.. should have been about 45 min. That night we walked down to the neigbors house... and the Tornado sirens went off! An awful storm came thru.. a tornado did touch down about 20 min from there house. CRAZY

On Saturday we were going to go out on the boat... but they had Gale (sp) Force winds .. it was nuts. but we thought we would try anyway. It was a rocky ride. Tanner thought it was great tho... as we bounced around. We then went to the beach and he got to play and went in the water a bit.

We went out to dinner and played mini golf that night. Tanner's first time... I forgot my camera and had to use my phone camer. Not sure how those pics turned out.. I have not checked yet.

On Sunday Ricks other sister Sharon came up and we played games.. Tanner jumped on the trampoline.. (which he did 90% of his time there) and we had a great meal. Tanner also got his tractor ride and 4 wheeler ride. He loves that stuff and Luke is so good to him.

On Monday we took off to go to the Mall of America... and Nickoledeon Universe! He LOVED it. He went on a lot of rides and met Sponge Bob and Blue from Blues clues! He said it was one of the best days ever.

Well that was it in a nutshell. It was an exhasting drive home and a long weekend. but we had fun. I got wind or sun burned .. not sure which on Sunday.. and I looked like a racoon for awhile! I am glad that we have no plans this weekend. I need a break!




Even mom rode the log ride. It was Tanners first BIG ride ever. He said he liked it.. but his face doesnt say that.

Out of Time

No time to blog... had much to do tonight. Haircut, Grocery store... Target. Run in with Best Buy.. HATE that store! Make dessert finsih packing... bring books and toys for Tanner on the way.

Another Day ... Another Dollar

Ok.. so the last few days I have been running around like a chicken with my head cutoff trying to get stuff ready for Minnesota. I am TIRED! Last night I fell asleep at 930 while Tanner was in bed with me watching movies. I do not remember Rick taking him to bed. I awoke at 3 AM.. and sat up and wondered what time it was and where was my child. Ever have that feeling. I was going to take a bath ... that never happened. perhaps tonight.

Tanner had a Field trip today at Young Uns ...His Trip buddy was Spencer. They went to the Mall and went to the kids Zone. He said they also got to see some "Real live Dogs" They must have stopped at the adoption Center. He said they played on all kinds of playground stuff and it was shaped like fruits and veggies. He said one of the things was being held up by broccoli. I dont go to the mall often.. but I will have to check this place out as it jsut opened.

Rick is going to go and get the print that Sandy wanted after work on Thursday. I am going to get Tanners hair cut, finish packing his "car" bag. My "car" bag. Make a sweet Butter cake to take along, give Tanner a bath ... and some odds and ends.. and pack the car. WOOO thats alot for one night.

Tonight I ran to the Library to pick up some new movies for Tanner to watch in the Van. We also got 2 Netflix movies so those are new also. Hopefully this will keep him entertained. I also cleaned the whole house.. even the basement.. that way if something happens people wont think I am a messy housekeeper!

The Carpet down stairs is HORRIBLE! I can wait to replace it in August. I think when I get back I am going to put up a list of stuff that we are replacing in the house... :) since it is something everymonth it will be nice to see it all in a list!

I put some new books on my Ipod... and Michele is bringing me some magazines also. I really think I am forgetting something.

I have to ask Dad to stop and check on Murray. Well thats it for now.. I am hopefully off to a quick bath!

Bad already!

Ok so it looks like I missed a day already. Well I blame Minnesota. :) We (I) and trying to get ready for the tre trip. It seems like I need to take everything... and then some. We dont like to go up to mooch off of our relatives so I like to bring food and stuff along also. I need to get grocery stuff.. stuff for Tanner to eat on the way.

Also last night while at target I relaized that we did not buy him a "prize" for doing so well at swim lessons. So while I was there .. I see this crazy Hulk mask that he has been wanting for a long time... AND its on clearence. so of course I grab it! He was so flipping excited to get it.. he said "this is totally awesome" and promptly wore it for 2 hours! Then it was bath time... and I made him take it off. 3

It rained ALOT last night. Thunder and lighting galore! then I tried to upload and rip a bunch of audio books to my Zune so that I could listen to them on the way to Minneosota.

I was up to late.. therefore suffered today. I did however lose another pound this week.. WOO HOO... thats 9 in 9 weeks so far!

I am going to try this again. I am a very poor blogger. But this will be my goal. But ona side note.. I will be out of town July 11-14 and will not have access to a puter... Maybe I should have waited till after.. LOL oh well.

No updates since June. Ackkkk I am bad!

Lets see....July... I can't rememeber back that far. We did Sparklers in the back yard and had a fire ont he 4th.

Aug was the Medline Picnic, we rode on Big Thomas, visited Aunt Sandy and got to play with all her toys! Went to Dina and Mike's farm again.

Sept We had the Andy Open Golf Tourney. We also did the learn to Skate Program and had a couple playdates with my New Friend Bryan Waddick. W

Oct We had Medline Halloween and started doing much better on the potty. We went to Bahls pumpkin farm and played and had a hay ride.

I wil try and add some more when I think of it.. and promis promise to get better at this! Dang it.. I didnt even realize it had been this long!

Dina & Mike's Farm

 

On the 16th of June we were invited out To Dina and Mike's farm. Tanner was very excited. He has been asking to go there for as long as he has known Dina! Well we went out right at 5 after Dina got off work! Mike was in the feild making hay bails. He stopped and asked Tanner if he wanted a ride. Tanner wanted me to come but I expalined that there was not enough room. I wasnt sure if he would go or not but the site of a big tractor won out and off he went with Mike. He had so much fun. When they were done he and Mike drove it back to the shed. We met them there and then Mike let him sit in all the other tractors and Tanner was full of questions! We then walked up to the other shed and mike gave hima 4 wheeler ride. And then Dina took him to see the calves on a 4 wheeler. She also gave him a ride on the lawn mower. We then ate hamburger and chips! Tanner had so much fun! They have to horses (Candy & Sugar) who Tanner still talks about. Also 2 dogs (Toby & Cody)

Tanner keeps aksing when we can go see Candy and Sugar and the puppies again! It was a great experince! We are forever grateful to them for showing Tanner a wonderful time! 

New big boy bed

 

A couple of weeks ago Tanner got a new big boy bed. He loves it. We had no trouble switching him over. In fact at night now he asks to go in his bed! :) 

WOO HOO Rodeo Time

 

We went to the rodeo again this year.. and had a much better experience.. no rain and no dead battery! Rick did not go this year but Tanner and I went with Dina. We met at around 630 and it was packed when we got there. Tanner had a good time but fell asleep near the end. We didnt get home until 1115. It was a late night for the little bugger but I think he had fun. It was a thursday so Friday was a LONG LONG day!

We sat really close.. and I thought some of those horse were going to come right at us!

Yes I promised to update all about May and I didnt. Well we had lots of days off and Ricks' mom watched Tanner to help out also, while mom was recovering! She was able to get back to full time after we got back from Colorado on 6/1.

I went to Scrap Jammies in May and got to see my wonderful scrapping friends. I just wish I could see them more often! Once a year is a long time, but with the rising cost of everything I doubt it will happen! So the message board is the next best thing! Had loads of fun and managed to scrap a few pages. but enjoyed sharing a table with Kris and Jen (Brandi came too.. she fit in awesome and I think had a great time)

Then not even a week after I got back we were off to COlorado for Erik's graduation. We got to fit in some time to go to Estes Park, get some Taffy and travel up the mountains a bit. We ate Bob & Tony's pizza.. Yum yum. Tanner got to swim in the hotel pool and had lots of fun playing with Erik and Mel! He loved the airplane ride ans said it was bumpy. There was some turbalence (sp) when we landed in Denver and some pretty big bumps.. but he laughed and thought it was great!

Right after we got back I got sick and barely made it to work on that Friday. I turned around and came back home to rest. I am not sure what it was! But it wasnt fun.

Well that was May in a nut shell! 

Start with April

 

So April was a busy month as usual. But for the life of me I can't rememember what we did. I do rememember that mom and dad went to Vegas. Well dad rememebers it but not so much mom. What we learned later is that moms apendicts (sp) burst before she went out. They went to Vegas on a sunday and they think it had happened about 5 days before but was a slow leak and therefore not as painful as a large rapture. So they were out in Vegas for about 2 days and had to return as she was so ill. Dad took her to the hospital on Wed. That is when we learned about what had happened. Mom doesnt rememeber alot of what happened. We also had to arrange for someone to watch Tanner for awhile as mom was in hopsital for almost 1 week.

She had a LOT of infection in her. She (THANK GOD) is doing much better now and is backing to having red at her house.

I guess Easter was also in April and Sharon the girls (and Nicole's BF), Sandy/John and the kids all came home. Tanner had loads of fun playing outside with the Merz kids! He got pretty sunburned also! :(

We also dyed eggs at our house and of course the Easter Bunny came and brought Tanner some goodies.

It was a busy month.

Ohh I am so bad!

 

A very good friend of mine who I love and adore has reminded me that I have been a naughty blogger and I appreciate the nudge.

So much has gone on in the last couple months, from mom getting deathly sick (she is much better now) to seeing my best Jammie friends and going to Colorado (Tanners first airplane ride)

I will be a faithful blogger and start to catch everyone up. :) 

BUSY BUSY WEEK

We had a busy week. The first few days wer slow... but Wed we went to Walhert with Daddy to play basketball. Tanner had lots of fun running back and forth on the gym floor. He also like to dribble and try to shoot the ball. It really wore him out! He was really tired when we got home and hour later!

On thursday we took him to the library and when we took him to the kids section.. all he could do is say "look at all these books." He must have said it 15 times. I left him and daddy upstairs and went and looked for some books for me. Then I came up and Tanner and I picked some books out for him. He got a couple Thomas books and a coupl truck/Tractor books and an Elmo book! He loves to look thru them. He wasnt to bad! I thinkwe may rent some DVD's the next time.

On Friday we went to Daddy's Basketball game and He was very good.. sat and watched most of the game. We then came home and he fell asleep pretty quick.

On Sat Mommy cleaned alot of the house and when Tanner took a marathon nap I painted most of the pots that I needed to do for Laura (she had ordered 45 pots). I also cleaned and rearranged Tanners room.

On Sunday I finshed up the pots and went thru recipees and decided on what we would be eating next month. Monday I was off work and Tanner and I played, Paid bills and made up the grocery list! I also scrubbed and cleaned the toy room.. it was GROSS!

This week will hopefulyl be a bit slower.. Although Thursday is grocery night, friday Rick meets with his high school buddies and Sat he has his Fantasy Baseball draft.. so maybe it won't be slow!

Weekend update :)

Well this was a good relaxing weekend. Well at least Fri and Sat. Friday we jsut were lazy all night. We went shopping at Target. Daddy got Tanner a new train!

On Sat we went to Papa's and gave him a birthday present and then we went to Pizza Ranch for Papa's birthday! And we spent the night hanging out watching basketball and out brackets on Sat night!

On Sunday I had scrapbook class at work and Rick went to play basketball. Grandma J watched Tanner and then Rick put her grill togather and we cooked out. I fixed her computer and then we came home. Tanner did not nap and he fell asleep there in front of the TV. We came home and he took a bath and went to bed!

Today was out upgrade at work! It didnt go to bad. We got to wear our jammies to work and be comfy. On Tuesday he get to wear jeans as it is FInally the first day of SPRING! Sure doesnt feel like it tho!

St Pats Day Parade

I realized that I never talked about the parade we went to 2 weeks ago with Dina.

The parade was in Dyersville, and it was suppossed to rain. But since it was not raining when we went to leave we went! Thank goodness it didnt rain.. it always rains when I do something with Dina! (RODEO!!!!!) Anyway it was SUPER nice out. It was about 60 degrees out. Tanner had so much fun collecting candy, seeing all the big tractors and Semi's. Dina was talking to him about her farm and that he could go there and see her cows and tractors and that Mike would give him a tractor ride! Well he was so excited that onthe way home he told everyone in the car (Dina, her mom and her cousin) that he was going to the farm now. Well he fell asleep as he didnt not nap that day and when I got home and took him out of the car he cried because he realized we were not at Dina's farm. Thank goodness he fell back asleep pretty fast!

He loved to see the floats and fire engines! I think we will have to take him to more parades. It was a good time. He loves to see Dina!

Half way there!

Yep it is Wed and almost to Friday. We are expecting a big snow storm tonight. But I bet we dont get hit as hard as they say! We normally don't.

This morning we were awoke (at 430AM) to sirens right outside our windows. There was a fire at the gas station on the Corner of Asbury Rd/JFK Rd. They closed the entire intersection and we had to go around! They still arent sure what happened. It isnt burned to the ground but it has extensive damage!

Yesterday Tanner had a lot of visitors.. Grandma Mi came down and Kim and Eddie were int town to pick up their taxes. The Mailman Dan stopped in to say Hello! Daddy had a meeting so Mommy and Tanner took some of Mommies profits to Target and bought Thomas Jet Engine. We also got a tackle box from papa to put his trains in.. it is huge and they still don't all fit! But He LOVES them!

Tonight he wore big boy underpants( he wanted to ) but only last 2 hours and he peed in them.. and a bit of poop!

Well its off to a bath!

TGIF

Yeeee hawww its Friday and it was so nice outside. Today wa sbusy at work.. I didnt spend much time upstairs with my team! But had a couple trainings with our HR person from Corp.

Tanner had fun this week. Grandma Di came over and babysat at Tanners house on Thursday! And then at lunch we went out for pizza. Then also on thursday was our anniversary dinner for work (been there 5 years now). So it was a good food day Thursday!

Today I went and bought all the pots to make for Laura and I need to start on those and Famersm market stuff!

Today Tanner told me he was a Red Sox fan. He even knows they play in Fenpark.. well that is what he calls it. He also says he is going to play there! :)

Bath night ... hope he sleeps in! We are also going to the St Pats Parade with Dina on Sat. Hope it doesnt rain!

Monday Monday!

Back to work. I was going to go after work and pick up all the flowers pots.. but I was to tired! Apparently I wasnt the only one becuase when I got to Mom's Tanner was on moms lap sleeping. She tried to wake him up but all he did was crawl into her lap and go back to sleep.

It was so icy this AM that Tanner slipped and fell on the way into Gramma's house, the Papa came out to help and he almost slipped and fell.. it was like a scene from a movie! At least Papa caught himself and didnt fall down!

Yesterday we also went to Grandma J's and helped fix her computer.. she had a few virus's! She made us dinner and we stayed till 815 and then came home and tried to put Tanner to bed but he was up till 930! Must have had to long of a nap.!!

He shoudl go down quick tonight as his nap wasnt as long..

Rick and I are going to start to give Plasma in a couple weeks to pay for the Colorado trip! :)

YEEE HAWWWWW

The first weekend in a month that we havent been sick. I hat to work today but still I am exzcited to be NON sick! We went to Lowes and Rick fixed the step outside.

I sold some Candy flower pots and coasters at work So I will be busy making those! I also sold my Sidekick.. SO I have a bout 200 bucks coming in! WOOO HOOO 

Wee hours of the morning!

Today we started on the new shift at work! It is from 630-330! Tanner was SO not wanting to get up! He would not go to bed last night.. in fact i wasnt until 1030! So he was mighty tired this AM! When we pulled out of the driveway he said "It's to dark out mama!" It was nice to be off at 330 tho. We got home and I cleaned the kitchen and vaccummed. I even opened all the shades so some light got in the house!

Grandma gave Tanner Arry and Bert today (2 new Thomas trains) he was VERY excited. He also went pee on the potty at Grandmas house!

Rick got home from work we had a neice conversation had some Egg Salad sandwhiches and then Tanner threw a fit. He wanted cookies and Pop for dinner. He did not want his nuggets. He cried and got mad for about 15-20 min and we told him if he ate his nuggets we would give him some soda! After the fit he ate all the nuggets and then we gave him soda. It was like he wanted to see what we would do! He is almost over the diareaha that he had!

SOOO........ maybe this weekend will be the non sick weekend. To bad I have to be at work for a while on Sat!
