I feel so bad for my Texas friends. Especially Kris who's house has been condemed. They live in Seabrook.. and they got hit Hard. Please scroll down and see the link (on the right)to her blog and read all about her horrible night and how Nick her husband barely made it out. He was at home putting things on the second level. They did save some of their things. HUGS KRIS!!! Glad you and Nick and Trey are OK. There is a light at the end of the tunnel! Jody and Suzzane are Ok as well. Jody and Suzanne seem to have little damage (thankfully)

Carpet Tear up is finally done. So excited to get new.. but so tired from moving everything. So not looking forward to moving it back.

Scrapfest was fun. The lines were crazy. I liked most of my classes.. a couple were kind of crappy tho. Oh well... how do you know. Jamie and Michele both seemed to have fun. Jamie was even talking about next year :)

Last night Rick had a ball game.. well actually 2 of them. So Tanner and I hung out at home. We watched ICarly and he played on the computer a bit. I took a nice bath and we went to bed. I didn't realize that Rick put Tanner in his own bed when he got home... so I slept really bad all crunched up.. and hence My NECK IS KILLING ME.

Tonight we had gymnastics. I tired to take some pics but they didn't turn out really good because I didn't want to use the flash and disrupt the class. He did better on his straddle rolls and did some back bends. He love the trampoline and he also did some flips on the bars. tonight is my last night to spend with him as Thursday after work we leave for Minnesota.

Not a whole lot to report. We had a lazy Sunday... We did go to the hockey game.. it was a scrimmage... and poor Tanner did not understand where his Ian was. He was so sad. I hope to be able to introduce him to some of the other boys and he can get attached to them.

Today was a FAST Monday.. it flew by. Tanner had school and a happy meal.. and Tonight I was off to the Grand to help with tryouts. Tim, Holly and Ron all did really well. I will be anxious to hear from dad if they got parts.

We are eagerly awaiting our trip to Minnesota for Scrapfest. Tuesday night Tanner and I will hang out while Daddy plays ball. Wednesday night he has gymnastics!

Soccer fun

Tanner had lots of fun at soccer this AM. It was a bit chilly and he was cold at first. But as soon as he started to run around .. he had fun. He is the purple team. his favorite color. When they asked what they should name the team.. he of course jumped in and said the "thunderbirds" so that is the name of their team. he wanted to be first in line for everything, he also is kind of a ball hog. He was so excited when he scored some goals. The UD soccer team helped the kids out this week...

He is on a team with Will and Addy. Will seemed to have a great time.. but Addy.. not so much.. it was awfully chilly so maybe she will have better luck next time.

After soccer we went to MC sports to buy him his "gear" he got cleats, shin pads and socks. He looked so stinking cute when he put it all on to try on. I have to tell Rick to take the camera next weekend while I am in Minn.

She's Hot...

LOL... yes those words came out of my 4 years olds mouth last night. I was to tired to type up the story last night so here it is....

So for some reason he LOVES to watch the show ICarly, on Nickelodeon. He also likes Drake & Josh. But Carly is his fav.. so much that i have some episodes taped so he can watch it when he wants. So last night I was taping a new one and we were snuggling in the chair together .. the show was about one of the guys "liking" some gal. So they set up this dating game type of thing to get them set up on a date. So the little gal .. Shannon.. is asking a question and Tanner looks at me and says "she is hot". I said "what" and he repeats "she is hot" I was like.. umm OK.

So when Rick gets home I tell him the story and Rick asks Tanner if he knows what hot means.. and he says.. "it means that she is cool and cute" Ok.. so he does. It was so stinking funny. He was just so serious about it! Rick says.. "hmm should he be watching this show! "

Oh.. to funny..so that's my funny story for the day.!

So not a good day. So glad its over

So.. I woke up today to a lovely email from the pinhead of the Soccer program that Tanner is signed up for .. thats starts THIS SATURDAY. He was on a team with Will and Addy and I had told him. Well the "dude" emailed and said there were some changes made. Well after looking at it.. the only change that was made was that Tanner was pulled off that team and just randomly added to anther one .. with no one he knows. No he is crying and is upset. The kid that he traded him with has siblings in the program so is obviously friends with the him and thus the change was made. Well what a great way to welcome new families into your organization.. but screwing them over 3 days before we are to start.. and now I look like a liar to my kid. Oh I was hot and email him twice on it.. once right away and then once again when I realized that only 1 team was changed.. and he basically lied about it in the email as he stated that several changes needed to be made.. AHH whatever.

So Rick was home as we were getting our furnace today... well after reading my emails... the dude decides to call and see if he can fix the problem that HE created. Well after talking to Rick... he changes it back. But then doesn't change it back to what it was.. takes the other little girl off the team that Addy is friends with. I don't get it... I am still ticked off about it, and we will not be joining this soccer program again.

There were other minor things at work.. And Rick called to say that there was something else wrong with the furnace and it was going to cost an additional 200 bucks.. adding to the joy of my day.

Then on the way home I caught some grade schools girls trying to steal something out of my parents side flower brush. They put it back and took off running. I ran after them and yelled at them. Told them that i would tell their parents. I think on Thursday I may show up early and watch for them... they are only about 10... and they are stealing.. what is up with that.

Then Tanner had his first gymnastics class. I was so waiting for something bad to happen at that. As we were waiting.. and he was putting his shows away... we came out and saw.. Cameron Ackerman. One of his buddies from Young uns... in fact his twin at Young uns... they both have red hair and look alike! I talked to his mom and said she really made me day. Tanner and Cam were so excited to see each other. Tanner did GREAT. He had a lot of fun.. and did his cartwheels without the map....

Oh.. i hope Thursday is a better day!

Just doing some remodeling again at the old homestead, I thought I had a better before pic.. but this was all I could find.

Notice behind the sink... boring white/ivory wall.... Well after many cut and sliced fingers... here is the finished product. I like how it looks. Rick said he liked it. He came upstairs to me doing it. I may not have told him I was doing it. He doesn't like change.

Tanner is feeling better.. a few loose ones.. but definitely better. My back and legs are killing me from standing all day.. doing that.. but it was worth it.

I also steamed the living room carpet and also the couch. The water was DISGUSTING that I dumped out.

I cant wait to take a HOT bath!

Quick Note

We had so much fun at the Medline picnic. But Tanner was acting a bit strange. He kept saying he was tired and would come over and rest from time to time. I thought that was a bit weird.. so not like him. He ran around with Lucas T, Jack, Will and Addie most of the day. He got tattoos. (although he was a bit scared at first so I had to get one) He ate Cotton Candy, Ice cream and bounced away in all the bounce houses. But was a bit off.

We stopped at Hobby Lobby on the way home (Michele and I) Tanner picked out some stickers (they were 50% off) and we came home. He fell asleep on the couch. I left him sleep there till about 7 and I woke him up and took him in our room. He seemed to wake up a bit and watched ICarly for a while. He dozed off and on.. i thought it was because he had no nap on Fri or Sat.

Well Rick got home around 8. We were in the bedroom and Tanner started stirring and moaning.. I said do you have a belly ache.. thinking he ate to much junk for the day... Well he turns to say yes.. and BARFS all over me.. right in my face.... So I start yelling for Rick. He grabs Tanner and takes him to the bathroom where he gets more sick. I clean myself up and the bed. We lay back down and I was up and down with him all night. About 3 Am he decides to go to the potty.... yep he has the poops now.

So this is what I have been doing all day today. Changing sheets and underwear as he cant get there quick enough. He wont take any meds because he doesn't like the taste. I found some peto pills that are cherry that I can get him to take.. but not as effective. I hope this stops soon as He starts preschool on Wed.. and Gymnastics.

Oh what a great holiday! :(

We are off to the Medline Picnic today... Rick has the Annual Andy Golf Tourney. this is the first year in about 12 that I will miss it. But Tanner will have way more fun at the picnic.

ITS OVER!

Woo hoo. The 1st Annual Medline Variety show is over. Our committee could not be more pleased about how it turned out. Everything AMAZINGLY went off without a hitch. Dress rehearsal was a bit shaky.. but it was great. The crowd went wild for nearly all the acts! There were 16 in all. Tanners favorite part was the Dance number... where they were dressed.. as he called .. like aliens.

He was a little sad that I could not sit with him. He could not understand that I was one of the Directors of the show and that I could not sit with him. He got quite sad and said "Did they ask you because you are so beautiful" AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW isnt that the sweetest. Of course I said YES... that is exactly why! He was OK during the show. He sat with Michele, Lauren and Ashley. I went out and danced with him during Neils Sweet Caroline song... that was fun and he was happy to see me. Papa picked him up for lunch and took him to Play land McDonald's. He is not used to not seeing me at lunch... I think that is why he was clingy!

I am exhausted today.. mentally and physically. I hope i didn't screw up to much at work... as I could not focus at all today! Next year.. I am taking the day off after!

We also found out today that Rick's car needs new wheel Bearings and a battery. Now you may be like me and think.. well heck that's not so bad. Well it is going to be 528.00 WOWOWOWOW I about cried. We just put 1100.00 down on a new furnace.. and 400.00 on new carpet! Why does every happen when its not supposed to. Well Rick talked to Mark our mechanic and (my Girlfriends husband) I totally trust him.. so no he isn't not going to screw us or anything like that ... we asked if it would be a big deal if we waited another month because we would have more $$ then. he said it isn't going to hurt the car. You will be safe... they are not that bad... and that there are cars driving around out there now that are probably WAY worse then what yours are. You will be fine to do it in lat September... THANK YOU MARK M!!!!! I so didn t want to take anymore $$ out of the savings account... we already did for furnace.

We also had Tanners preschool open house today. We met Ms Carsen .. Tanners teacher this year. I have meet her before she has been working at Younguns all summer. Tanner likes her. there are only 10 kids in his class. Will, Addy and Jack are all in there... but no Lane! Tanner will be sad about that when he realizes that. I am sure Lane will be too :( I do wonder how they do that. Will and Addy are also not in Beccas room. They are in with Sandy. Many changes ahead for the kids!

So on that note I am going to take a bath and go to bed!

a few days

Well its been a few days.. but I have GOOD reason.. One is that I was out of town on Sat Am until Sunday around 3 ish.

I went to the Scrapbook Expo in St Charles with some Gf's. Then stayed at Vals house and scrapped away. it was such a good time. I have not seen some of the gals for 2 years... only chat with on the message board. Funny thing is.. I will see Lynn again in 3 weeks at the Scrapfest!

The other reason is that I am exhausted.. LOL this Variety show has me so tired. I know that 95% of these folks have not been on stage before therefore do not know what is right and what is wrong and I am sure that is what is taking the toll. But today we just wanted them to listen to direction.. listen to what needs to be done.. and they all kept talking.. so I went "Producer Bitch" on them and started yelling. Thankfully it will all be over on Tuesday night.

Tanner is signed up for football on Thursdays, Gymnastics on Wednesdays and Soccer on Saturdays. Its going to be a busy fall!

SOOOOO BUSY

Its been an incredibly busy week. Between working on the Variety show for work, Farmers Market and getting ready to see the girls this weekend. I am exhausted.

I have sold well over 100.00 this week so I have some nice spending money this weekend.

Tanner has also told me that he wants to take gymnastics. He had a field trip there this week and came home and said he wanted to do that. He then gave me paperwork to sign him up. I called Westside and she remembered Tanner and said he was the polite red headed little fella who wanted to do harder stuff. She said he was pretty good. I am so excited.. there is some of my blood in there! Maybe he will be the next Paul Hamm and Rick and I can mortgage our house like Shawn Johnson's parents.. LOL

We are also signing him up for Biddy football on Thursday nights for 8 weeks. I am hoping all this stuff will tire him out a bit!

So tired.... I wish it was October. LOL. I cant see things slowing down till then. This week is another busy week. Today I ran back to work and dropped off the rest of the toys that I am selling at the Farmers Market. Rick and Tanner went to Jeanette's so he would not see the toys I am putting in my car.

Saturday I took stuff to Goodwill, but this stuff was nicer stuff and if I don't sell it I will probably give it to Young Uns.

I then ran and got a few things at the Grocery store and bought the last 2 mini Albums I needed. Well I actually wanted 1 more.. but was unsure if I would get it done.. .I did buy some paper there also.

Tuesday night I have a meeting at the Grand for CIA show. I hope it isn't to long! I just want to come home and sit and do nothing one of these days.

Tanner went to Kennedy School Playground for the last time this summer as School is about to start. He also asked me if he could go to New York with Boris... The little fella must be going on vacation again. I know he just got back from Russia.. Tanner says he asked alot of kids in daycare to go with him.... LOL I told Tanner that I would miss him if he went to NY. so he said.. "well i guess I will have to tell Boris that I cant go."

Up top are some pics from Sunday at Chucks. Kim, Eddie and Papa also took him to a Puppet show and he got some stuffed cats.. (of course) and a puppet theatre. We started to color it last night... he stayed in the lines pretty good.

Sat Tanner had a play date with Lane. He was very excited. He was there until 1 and they also fed him lunch. He had his favorite.. chicken Nuggets.

I cleaned up the house and took stuff to GoodWill. it was an great day outside.

When Tanner got home he played for a while and then feel asleep at around 3pm. He slept till 630. Which was fine because the Bonfire for work was not until 730.

I finished up 5 more mini books to take to work on Wed. I am hoping to sell them all.. what a great way to make some money for Chicago trip!

He had lots of fun at the bonfire with Will, Addie, Bryan and Nolan (Benson) They ran and ran all over. Had sparklers and glow bracelet's and even got a special cup to put Special Medline Dirt in it. I will post a pic later tonight when we get home!

Today we are off to Cedar Rapids to see Aunt Kim and Uncle Eddie and to go to Chuck E Cheese. Tanner was up at 630 and said he cant wait to go!

Stayed up to late last night watching the Olympic Gymnastics.. I am TIRED!!!

Today was a good day tho. I sold to of my 6x6 books and its not even Farmer's market yet. :) I have 40.00 for next Sat already.

Tonight I have to go to my High School reunion.. ack 20 years. my GF's are meeting me at my house in 15 min ... I am only going Friday night.. the Sat night thing is $$$ and I have a work Bonfire to go to. We finally broke ground for our new building!

So we were up late last night watching Gymnastics. That is my favorite to watch since it is what I did for so long when I was a child! Well until I fell off the high bar on the the low bar and I swear that screwed up my back forever!


Anyway.. so Tanner went to bed late.. and today was the day he was going to Peter Pan at the Grand. He loved it.. but when i picked him up he was so tired.. and WHINY (sp) oh it was insane.. he was crying about everything that did not go his way.


Well we ate pizza for dinner and then I fell asleep on the couch and Rick and Tanner went downstairs to play. I guess Tanner came up and said he had to go potty. Well after about 20 min.. Rick wondered where he was. He came upstairs and looked all over.. found me sleeping but could not find Tanner. So he finally finds him and comes and wakes me up to come and see where he was.... you will never guess where he was sleeping....

Its hard to tell.. but he is sleeping on a stool.. in next to the potty with NO PANTS ON. He must have went potty and then got tired and laid down on the stool. Well i got his underpants put back on.. and laid he in our bed.. he is SOOOO heavy when he is sleeping!

I left him sleep.. I am sure he will sleep all night.. even tho he fell asleep at 645 or so.

We have been watching the Olympics.. and Tanner now calls that my favorite show.

I watched the replay of the big Relay.. wow that was exciting. I have no idea how they pulled that out.

Tanner was sad today as the kids at daycare got to go to a movie because it was to cold for the pool. He didn't get to go as I was picking him up.

He does get to go to Papas theatre on Wed for Peter Pan!

We went and paid for the furnace today. They ran a credit check as we financed part of it. I always get nervous when they do that! But there were no issues and we will get it installed within a month!

This weekend hopefully we can go pick out that carpet!

Well I got my haircut and colored today... man that is expensive. But I really only go about 1 every 3 months so its not to bad. I had her cut it a little shorter in the back.. so maybe I can go longer. She also put some darker highlights in... not sure if I like them yet or not.. but the good thing is my roots wont show so quick :)

It was a weird weather day for us. We woke up to rain.. and yes the patio stuff was out.. but I was to tired to run out in my jammies this time.. and it was raining hard.. so I would have been soaked. Later in the day Rick and Tanner cleaned the pool. Tanner was in the pool.. and it was cold! and it started to get cloudy. I ran in and checked the radar and sure enough the was a storm coming. So we came inside and sure enough right after we did it started raining.

I ran to Hobby Lobby to pick up the last of my stuff for Farmers Market. I am making 4 6x6 baby scrapbooks. I made the same one for Tanners teachers.. Miss Jenny and Bess. They turned out really cute I thought. I hope to sell them for 20.00 each. If I sell all 4.. there is 80.00 for my trip to Chicago! Crossing my fingers.

What a busy day. I cleaned out several rooms int he house and have 7 bags and 2 boxes of stuff for GoodWill. I also have 2 bags full of toys and a couple other items to take to Farmers Market week at work. It feels good to declutter a bit. I am not sure how we got all this stuff. I am hoping to raise a few $$ to take with me to Chicago. Well to get more stuff.. LOL

My back is killing me. I was/am exhausted.

I did also get to make a few things last night for the Market as well. Some Halloween items. i need to take pics of them on Sat. And burned the crap out of my finger... it blister.. it hurts ALOT!

Rick made a fire int he backyard and we roasted marshmallows and Tanner did some sparklers. He also told us today in school they made torches and rings.. and marched around like the Olympics.

I am getting a haircut at 930 on Sat. So glad about that.. its getting long and will nto style anymore.

Well I am headed to bed..

Been busy ... rearranged Tanners room. I wanted to put his desk in there .. in used to be in the Living Room.

I am going to clean out some toys on Friday and get them in the back of the Van for Farmers Market at work. Otherwise if they dont sell there.. its off to Goodwill. His B-day and Christmas are not that far off.

Ok so last night was a bad night.. it extended over into today.. what is with that. I am not even going to go into details.. but I had a crappy morning at work. I did get some of the tasty spaghetti my mom makes.. that was the highlight of the day! Tanner and Papa went to Kennedy School to play, but then he did not take a nap until 215. I had groceries to go and get so he did get a bit of a longer sleep as I didn't get to moms till almost 4.

I had to buy the supplies for the THROWDOWN at work on Thursday. We are having a Tater tot casserole cook off. It came about kind of crazy.....as the folks at work were making fun of me for making a menu for each month. Its just the way I shop.... only once a month. its cheaper if I know what we want to make ... we have been doing this for almost 2 years and it works for us....

Anyway.... there are 6 people bring in the dish. We have 3 judges who have never had it before. Its just silly.. but fun.

I am off on Friday... THANK GOD... I cant wait to sleep in. Tanner is still going to school and to my moms. I may rearrange his room and maybe take some toys out of his room and sell them at the farmers market at work.

I am still also working on stuff for the ETSY store I want to open. I seem to have alot going on this month.. maybe I am stressed and that is why I have been crabby the last few days.

Tanner did get his package from Trey today... he got a Cailou talking doll. He loved it... was very excited .. I will post a pic soon.

Lets see... this weekend is clear! Next week we have meeting to get furnace installed, buy new carpet, set installation, Meeting at Grand for work, 20yr Class reunion Fri Night, Medline Bonfire Sat night, Chuck E Cheese on Sun.... The week after is... Tues meeting at the grand for show that I am stage managing, Medline Farmers market Wed-Fri, Sat Leave for Chicago.. sun Come home. And the last week of Aug... Variety Show on Tues, Doc on Wed, Sat is Medline picnic... and that whole week is Employee Appreciation week... I am sure I am missing stuff......It makes me tired to think about it.

I am going to bed.....

Tonight was not a good night at our house. Tanner threw a major fit which is something he does nto normally do. He is very orney. I think he does not have enough sleep since yesterday he took no nap.

He wanted to watch Family Guy and when Rick and I both told him NO... he got mad and cried and kicked. Well Rick offered to put on a movie for him.. wellt hat wasnt good enough either.. so Rick took him in his room and shut the door and walked away. Well i started to clean the windows and mirrors in the house and went and listened at the door.. and BOY was he having a conversation with himslef.. and everything ended with .. "I Don't like Daddy" He was sure suprised when he opened the door and found me standing there. I told him he was not very nice and those were not very nice things to say about daddy.

He did later apologize for not being nice and being a brat. He isnt like this often thank god!

Today was a lazy day. That's why I like Sundays. We were awoke at 6Am tho to a thunderstorm. I thought i had heard thunder and then more and more. When I woke up I remembered that yesterday I had taken all the patio furniture out and put it on the deck. So since I am really anal about it... because we just bought it. I ran outside in... my Pj's mind you.. and started to just bring the Chairs in the house. They are padded chairs.. so I don't like them to get wet. Even tho they are waterproof. I just think that the more they get wet.. the more they could mold or something. So I usually keep them under a tarp on the deck and take them out when its going to be nice for while or if I know we are going to use them that day. Yes I am insane.

After that... i went back to bed for awhile. Tanner and I got up at 9AM and we played ate breakfast and hung out most of the morning. He then wanted to watch TV in our room so I went and laid in there with him as I had a nasty headache. I slept part of the afternoon.

We then got up and played outside for a bit and made a pork roast on the grill. I then ran to Starbucks and got Rick and I a double Chocolate Chip Frap. Tanner wanted Rick to make him a slushie. Right now Tan man is in the tub and Rick is relaxing on the bed.

Today Rick took Tanner to Epworth Days... there was a parade and alot of the big blow up bounce houses and those types of "rides". He had a ball. Jake was there so he got to play with him for abit. He hasn't seen Jake in awhile. He got the biggest bag of candy I have seen from a parade. They were sitting at the beginning of the parade so they got alot. they also got picked as "assistants" and got to throw water balloons at one of the floats.. he thought that was great. Also a horse peed and pooped right in front of them.. and he thought that was hilarious!

I stayed home and cleaned the house.. scrubbed the floors and steam cleaned some chairs. I probably should have scrapped or something for me.. but I really wanted to clean. I am off on Friday.. so I will do that then!

Brody and Michele came over to play. They ran around outside for a bit and played on the swing set. Then we came in and played in the house. Poor Brody hurt his toe on the tack strip between the living rooms. I didn't realize there was a bit of a tack coming up. I felt really bad. They left around 830... Tanner came in our room and fell asleep at 915 :) he was exhausted. He had a big day.

Friday....

Last night we went down to the Shot Tower and met a few of the First year players form the Saints. They were in town for the weekend for a Reunion. Jack had called Dad and told him to spread the word. There were about 8 of the fellas there last night. Not sure if more were coming in today or not. It was nice to see Brian, Bobby Gibby and Jon again. Jon has a son the same age as Tanner. so it was kind of cute to watch them play cars togather. Jacks wife Kathy stopped me and said "hey your in the video... your the little girl in the picture" Jon had saved a picture(I am sure Brian has it somewhere to.. thats what his wife said) of him and me and brian after one of the games. He sent it to Kathy to put inthe video tribute that Gibby made. I thought it was so dang sweet that he still had the picture, it made me smile! We talked alot about the stuff that went on that year. Even Larry's name came up. I think he and Mardy would have liked that gathering!

Tanner had an OK time. He watched my Ipod for awhile.. I had Toy Story on it so he watched that for a while.

Tonight Michele came over and brought Will Imbus to play. I got to leave and go to the grocery store all alone! It was awesome. Rick was at a ball game.. and Michele had Tanner.. WOW.!

Michele is the BEST! She even brought him a Happy Meal!

It also rained a bit today. Which was good as we needed it! It rained right at noon time. And Tanner said.. "oh it looks like Papa cant play golf in the rain" "Well maybe he is playing in another state and it isn't raining there".... Gee I wonder where he hears that from!

Last night Rick took Tanner to grandma J's house. I spent the night looking online for a hotel for Minnesota. We (Michele and I ) finally found one. We got it for 56 a night. Its a nice hotel that actually Jamie and I have stayed at before. Its a Holiday Inn. Although its not right next to the mall its close, which is nice.

I then took a bath and Rick and Tanner got home and he got very mad at me because I would not let him watch a movie. It was 930. I made him go to bed! I am so mean.

He was horrible.. he got back in our bed at some point and tossed and turned all night and kept me awake ... so much that I overslept by 20 min.

Today is another hot and humid day. Tanners daycare went to Pizza Hut today and had a tour and made their own pizzas to eat.

We will be off to Sam's club and to the last Medline Softball game of the year. Thursday is grocery night.. I cant wait as we have NO FOOD!

Quick One

Just a quick note today... It was really hot and humid here. YUCK.

Tanner went to Kennedy School today to play on the playground. We also got a note from Young uns about Preschool. It says his teacher is Ms Carsen. I know that is a new gal at his school. I am wondering what happened to Miss Jenny. I know she is pregnant but not sure why she isnt teaching. He does know Carsen and has talked about her in the past. So I guess we will see what happens. I am wondering if it has to do with the Free Preschool thing and maybe Miss Jenny doesnt have a BA. or what ever you need. :(

I changed around his Dental appt so he doesnt miss any school. I also made my appt for the Doc.. YUCK YUCK YUCK. And today got my shot .. umm ya that feels nice.

I also talked to mom and some folks at school about our Property taxes... and ALOT of folks i talked to .. theres went up.. and by alot. So i guess I am not alone. But our house was valued at 87000 last year and this year it is 120000. Not sure how that happened since all we did was put in a new stove and dishwasher.. Hmm most be the models we picked.. LOL.

Anyway I am off to play with Tanner for a bit, he is playing in his Kitchen and making secret Recipee dishes...LOL and then off to a bath!

Also want to send a shout out to my Jammie sister Kris.. and thank her the gift she is sending Tanner. He will be so stoked.. Thanks lady. Your the BEST!

Lazy Sunday

I don't mind Sundays. I usually get my cleaning done on Sat AM so that i can be lazy and do what I want on Sunday.

Rick had ANOTHER game in Dyersville today. It was at 2:00. Tanner wanted to go. So until then he played trains... while I napped on the couch. It was nice but a bit uncomfortable.

Poor Tanner tho... we went out to the game (they lost.. yeah..as they would have had to play again at 4) and thre were no little fellas for him to play with. He got pretty bored fast. He watched the game a bit.. and did say "Nice Shot dad" when Rick had a hit. It was cute. then he would say "Run Dad Run" He als did cheer for Jeff... well kind of. He kept saying JEFF JEFF JEFF.. it was funny.

We got home at around 4... and it started to rain shortly after that. It is just a nice steady rain.. with one LARGE LOUD clap of thunder and lighting.

I am thinking I want to open a little Etsy shop. Not sure what I want to sell. But I think it would be fun to do stuff.. if I rememebr correctly... its not to $$ to set one up. I am going to print the stuff off at work and read it again. ALso doing a bit of research to see what sells.

Well its bath night and Tanner will be tired so I am off to clean up the trains that are all over the living room right now!

I am on a Roll

We hung out at home most of the day. Tanner played outside in his sandbox till he got to hot. He then played inside with his trains most of the day. He was pretty whining as there was not nap today. I pulled him around in the wagon for awhile.. in the house tho.

Tonight Rick had a ball game in Dyersville... we were going to go, but the games were over an hour behind.. which means that the 7:00 game just got over now! YUCK! They play at 2 on Sunday so I think we will go to that one.

Tanner and I went to the mall and went to the Kids Zone... which I find is totally CHEESY. it is basically for kids that are 3 or less and its super small. Tanner had fun.. but GEEZ... they way they advertised it .... it was the next BIG thing!

So we went to the Humane society area and looked at the puppies and kitties. They had such cute kitties. Then we went to the Generic Build a bear that we have. Tanner sooo wanted a Spiderman outfit for his Elmo. I told him he had to use his own money. Normally when I say this.. he says no and puts the toy or whatever back. Not tonight... he really wanted that I guess.

It just fit Elmo.. was a bit tight, as Elmo is a big build a bear... So we put it on his Hop On Pop Bear from Kohl's.. and it fits pretty good.

He for some reason then wanted to take pics of me with them ... and then with him... so here they are!

The Big game.

The second post of today :)

Well the big game.. hmmm WOW.... it was long. They divided up into teams and he and Lane were on the opposite teams. He was sad. The let each kid hit.. and they would pitch to him until he did. They went thru the line up once and then they switched. Well some of the kids in took a long time for them to swing and hit it. Alot of the kids in the field were getting bored. Typically playing in the dirt and sitting on the ground.

Every time Lane would come up Tanner would say hey buddy.. come on. And Vice versa. One time when tanner was running from first to second he stopped to talk to Lane. He did hit the ball.. but the gal that was pitching was terrible and every ball was so low I am not surprised that some of the kids to along time to hit.
After the big game we went up to the park with the Breitsbeckers and let the boys play. He Lane and Tate had a wonderful time. We stayed for about 40 min. And of course Tanner was sad we when all had to go.

The Fair

Well since Rick had a ball game on Friday night I decided to take Tanner to the fair. Something that we do not always do. But I thought what the heck, I bet he has fun. Michele said that she would join us. So we headed out around 6:00. Ride bracelets were 20.00... total rip off. But single tickets were even more! So we got the ride bracelet.

He went on about 19 rides.. and several of them alot. He loved the Chinese dragon Roller Coaster and always had to be in the front seat. Even if he had to share with someone. He rode on that with Hannah Dunham.

He also really liked the Flying space ships. he pretended they were Buzz Lightyear Rockets.

The first time he was scared to go down the big Slide and only climbed a couple of stairs before changing his mind. We went back later when he wanted to be brave! He went all the way up and came down on his Gunny sack like a trooper. He then said.. "well that wasn't so scary after all"

He also went in the fun house.. and have alot of trouble finding his way out. he didn't cry but it was a house of window panes so you could not tell where to go.. and he kept bouncing off the walls.. it was so funny. You could watch him from the out side and Michele and I were laughing so hard at him. When he finally came out he said" I kept hitting the walls" "I better go try that again" so he did.. but bounced off the same exact walls. To funny!

He also went on the little cars, Flying Elephants, the hot air Balloons, the Merry go Round and ate 2 bags of Cotton Candy. He played the Duck pond and won a Scooby Doo. the whole time he was on the Merry Go Round he watched himself in the mirror. the first time he went on it he wanted to ride in the sled.

Then we tried to win him a stuffed spiderman that he wanted. and could not! :( We then saw Abbey Merfeld.. a gal we work with ... she said she would try to win one as she was already carrying a bug stuffed dog. She did not win but was sooooo kind and asked to trade in her stuffed dog for a Spiderman. And then she gave it to Tanner. He was so excited.. and gave her a big hug! He was so thrilled. She really made his night.
We got home at 9:15. He was extremely tired.. but way Happy!

SOOOO TIRED!

Just got home from the fair.. Tanner had a ball. I will post pics and a story on Sat after his big game!

Wednesday Wednesday

Today was a different day.. Papa is gone golfing.. so Grandma gets to walk Tanner to school.. well as long as it isn't raining.
I did not have to pick up my Red today as he is on a trip to the Fire Station today with Daycare.

We are having a great day here.. weather is awesome. they have a cash machine at work today... you know the kind they put money in and it blows all around and you grab it. They picked 35 folks to go in and grab as much as they can.. count it up and then whoever grabs the most wins 100.00, then 75.00 50.00 and 25.00. I wasn't picked.. but it is so fun to watch! The crew is really having fun with it. And Friday is our Summer bash on the lawn where we have blow up pools and a slip and slide. Its a good week to be at work!

Tanner had alot of fun at the Fire Station. They went to the one by Allison-Henderson park. he was excited to also see the Ambulance there. They also got to have a pizza party at school. He said they got to eat 2 pieces he was thrilled.

We got home and he promptly fell asleep on the couch. I tired to wake him up but he fell asleep at the table eating hamburger.

We finally got him up after we reminded him that if he woke up and ate he could go to the Medline softball game, We just got home from that. He was a good boy and didn't cry when we had to leave like he usually does. He is now laying down and watching a movie. Hopefully he will hit the sack early tonight.

Grrrrr

I have a headache. My darling little boy thinks he needs to be played with 24/7. This is a new thing for him.. he usually sint this bad. He is also not sleeping well at night ... thus being very crabby and crying about everything. I need a DRINK!

Dad left today for a golf trip! Grandma gets to take Tanner to daycare on Wed and Thurs!

Sunday July 20

Well i guess I will have to live with blogging a day behind in most cases. :) Oh well. At least it is down on "paper"
Today started off realyl cloudy again. But it eventually became sunny and VERY warm. Rick washed the cars in the late morning.. Tanner did not want to help at all. Which was weird as he usally likes to do that.. but he wanted to lunge and watch movies.

At about 1 o'clock I got him up and movie and he decided he wanted to go in the pool. MAN it was HOT! Rick got in the pool also. I sat and read a magazine. My chest got burned a bit. But i dont think i have been this tan in a few years. Looks kind of good on me :)

We cooked a late lunch of hamburgers and ate outside again. When we went in around 3 a had to take a shower.. I felt GROSS! I then got the Enchiladas ready for supper so that all i had to do was pop them in the oven to cook.

After dinner Rick watched the Red Sox on ESPN and Tanner took a bath. I know he was tired but kept fighting the sleep! We finally laid down to watch a movie and he was alsepp by 830.

Last night it stormed alot. We woke up to a nasty storm.. The worst was down in ia City.

Today was a average day at work. Tanner took his piano and guitar to Grandmas so they could have a band and they could practice.

Papa is headed out of town for golf on Tuesday... so grandma gets to walk Tanner to school! Tan is very excited.

Today Rick also bought Tanner a REAL baseball bat, and well almost real balls. They are those semi soft ones. They are outside now trying it out. Well it didnt last long as they were only out for a moment. He then wanted to play in his slide.

Saturday July 19th.

Well today was a good day. (yes I am typing this on Sunday...) It started out cloudy but turned in to a nice day. Tanner and Rick went to Preschool baseball... and I got to tell you its LAME LAME LAME. Today the woman was calling home plate... HOME BASE. She was explaining the rules to the boys and said when you come across home base you get a point... SERIOUSLY.... do you think the could have found someone who knew the game.. or at least the terminology. I believe most of the dads were rolling their eyes. good thing it was only 16.00 or I would ask for my money back.

While the boys were there I went to Target.. picked up a few birthday presents for Tanner... (yes I know way early.. but they were on clearance!) and some grocery stuff. I also ran to Michael's to pickup the new Magazine Mini Albums!

When we all got home .. Rick made Tanner some pancakes and I cleaned the house. I can not relax and do nothing all day unless the house is clean. I am annal! When breakfast was done.. Rick cleaned the pool and mowed the grass. By the time the pool was filled the house was clean.... the yard work was done and we sat by the pool. I got a little color on my legs, chest and arms.

Tanner is starting to get the hang of what to do for swimming. That's good. He has the doggie paddle down. But does not like to stick his head under the water.

We had lunch out on the patio and had hamburgers. We went inside to cool off as it was stinking hot. Lounged the rest of the day.

It did rain a bit last night... thankfully I was watching the Weather Channel and put the patio stuff under the tarp.

Quote of the day.... Yes .. from Master Tanner... "Dad you are always watching baseball. You should do something else then watch baseball. Watching baseball is boring. " I think Rick had heart palpitations after he said it!

And lastly.. Shout out to my sister and Brother in Law... Its Kim's birthday Today... and Eddies is next week. HAPPY HAPPY day to you!

Wed and Thursday

I am still so tired from the weekend. Driving... whether riding or doing the driving totaly wipes me out. i should have taken Tuesday off as well.

Wednesday Tanner did not go to daycare and had a Tanner and Papa Day. He LOVES those. Usually becuase my dad takes him to McDonalds and to the park. Well they did have a big day. They went to Allison Henderson Park, Kennedy Park, McDonalds and to the Mall where they played in the playland and went to Boarders. He bought him a Shrek book. Grandmas went down to the Grand at worked in the box Office.

They met me for lunch at McDonalds. When we were all done.. he hugged me and said "Thanks for coming to lunch mom, have a good day at work and tell Michele I said hi" He adores Michele.

He wore Papa out .. he ended up in bed early. Tanner not so much. He did not have a nap but was still up till 9:00.

Rick went and got a estimate for a new garage door and opener.... HOLY SMOLEY! We were told last year that it would be around 500-600 well the estimate was almost 900. So I guess we will not be doing that... we are just going to go with the opener and put the door on the infamous list. It falls in line for next Spring. Next week we are going to put the down payment on for the furnace! Next month.. basement carpeting.. I SOOOO CAN NOT WAIT!

Today was an average day. He was full of energy this AM..Tanner went to daycare and I went to work. I picked him up at Daycare and took him to Grandmas. She did say he fell asleep right at 1:00 for his nap.. which is rare. It is usually later that that.

Its raining right now.. and Rick left for his softball game.. I am sure he will be back soon.. as it is a thick band of rain. They get rained out alot on Thursdays.. seems it only rains on that day. Weird.

I am eagerly planning the Scrapfest trip for Michele and I. This year tho Jamie is coming. And we will meet up with Lynn. Classes come out on Monday. I cant wait to see them this year. it seems like they have more vendors this year... I think Jamie will have a good time. This is her first "event" ever. She just told me that she is making her 3rd bedroom into her scraproom. I sure have created alot of monsters :) Thats about 4 i turned out to the hobby... some are way into it more then others! Hope there DH's don't come after me :)
